E- Mails to the Editor
Praise for work over railroad tracks. When it was announced
the railroad crossing by the Radburn RR Station would be repaired and the job would take about two
weeks I did not believe it. I felt it would take at least a week longer perhaps more. To my surprise and delight it was finished on the original schedule. I feel somewhat chastened by this fine job vs my feelings. The contractor and all involved should be praised
for this.
Hi To Old Neighbors I lived in Fair Lawn for over 30 years. While residing there I ran for a seat of the School Board and served 3 terms. I was a maverick, not controlled by any one group, but elected to serve the people which I did, regardless of who they were. I'm proud of that service I did for my fellow townspeople and believed I served them well.
I also was employed by the Department of Public Works from 1965 thru 1989 when I retired and my wife and I Gloria who had worked as a school crossing guard for over 20 years now reside on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, five miles west of Sequim.
The weather here outmatches that of back in Fair Lawn as we only average some 11 to 22 inches of rain per year. Very little snow and are not in any danger of Hurricanes, Tornados or Thunder & Lighting storms. Just beautiful country out this way, beats going to Florida and real estate taxes are much more reasonable than back that way.

And Another Compliment I think it is a great idea to have this site. I'm a teenager and would really like to know what goes on in fair lawn cause there isn't much to do around here.
