Overnight Parking Overnight parking on Fair Lawn's streets continues to generate more letters. See the Overnight Parking Story from October 2000.  See Letters about Overnight Parking from previous edition.    Overnight Parking at Train Station I am writing about the proposed plan to allow those who need overnight parking in Fair Lawn to park at the Radburn train station.  Many of us who pay $50 per year to park at the train take the 6:38 or 7:00 trains in the morning.  Unless those who park overnight are forced to move their cars by 6:30, where will we park when we come to take the train? Why don't you come to an agreement with Grand Union to use their space at night or take other measures.  As it is, we don't have enough parking spaces for commuters now. Thank you for your attention.  Harriet Levitt   Overnight Parking Fair Lawn is becoming a older town with children going off to school every fall.  When they return over the summer the overnight parking ban should be lifted (between Memorial day and Labor Day).  I would rather see the cars on the street than on the lawns.  Other then being a money making law it is of little use to the police and a great  inconvenience to the residents. Verizon User       Parking Ban The Parking Ban is definitely NOT archaic.     By keeping very few cars on the streets allows for the police department to investigate suspicious vehicles very easily, which in effect, keeps crime down.    The overnight parking ban also allows streets to be plowed (though parking is banned all together when roads are snow covered) and of course emergency vehicles are allowed to pass through the streets very easily.  Ever try getting any rescue or fire apparatus or an ambulance down a street loaded with cars? How about even parking it?  Of course, the issue of cars parking constantly on the street makes the town look just plain ugly.
