Senior Center Activities   The following are the upcoming events at the Fair Lawn Senior Center, located on the corner of 11th Street and Gardiner Road.  Call 201-796-1191 or e- mail  srcenter@fairlawn.org for more information about the Center and these events.    Theater Trips  “Fame – The Musical” at the NJ Performing Arts Center on Thursday, April 12th with lunch at Maize Restaurant. The cost is $59 (including lunch and  transportation).   The Last Night in Ballyhoo” in Nyack on Wednesday, May 2nd with lunch at Lanterna Tuscan Bistro.  The cost is $52 for Ballyhoo (including lunch and  transportation).   Delaware Trip   A two-day trip is planned for May 23rd and 24th.  The trip is $174 per person (double occupancy, singles for $220) and includes round-trip transportation, tour of Longwood Gardens, dinner at Three Little Bakers showing “The Sound of Music,” overnight stay in Ramada Inn, tour of Winterthur, and lunch at the Chadd’s Ford Inn.    Spelling Bee  The Annual Regional Spelling Bee will once again take place on Friday, April 20 at 1:30 pm at the Senior Center.   The Center is only one of several sites hosting the play-offs preceding the final “County Spelling Bee”.   Book Club  The next meeting of “Bookends,” the Fair Lawn Senior Center’s book discussion group, will be Tuesday, May 1st at 11:00 am.     Mail Fraud Discussion  On May 3rd at 10:30, the Senior Center will host a presentation by Senator Robert Torricelli on mail fraud.  Senator Torricelli hopes to help everyone recognize fraudulent mail that may arrive at their homes everyday, how to deal with it, and how to protect oneself from it.     Floral Design  The Senior Center will host Gloria Einhorn, Creative Floral Designer at 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 10th.  With participation and demonstration, Gloria will incorporate flowers with everyday items to design beautiful and inventive floral designs.
