Congressional Campaign Contributions

There's a big difference between the amount of money raised by the two Fair Lawn residents running for Congress. Steve Rothman, the incumbent, has raised over $1,000,000. Ed Trawinski has raised $10,000. That's a $100 to $1 ratio.

Where Trawinski Got His $

Richard Trawinski (Ed's brother) and Richard's two partners in an Elmwood Park Construction company each gave $2,000 to the campaign. The other $4,000 came from Doug Forrester and his wife. Forrester is running for Governor and he is also a long-time friend of Trawinski.

Where Rothman Got His $

Of the $1 million raised by Rothman, about $370,000 is from political action committees. These committees have been set up by labor unions, corporations and trade organizations.
